== Biography ==
The Magnificent Giovan Matteo Natoli lived in Messina, with two brothers Giovan Forte and Francesco. He was a nobleman of the dynasty House of Natoli who was awarded the ''"Military Cingolo"'' with the title of Knight in 1571 from King Charles V, and was later appointed Imperial Knight in Bruxelles.〔ex Reg. Cancell. "die 4 Maij 1523" ("Registro Cancelleria di Re Carlo V" witj the date 4th may 1523)〕 He was also Ambassador of Sicily in Venice.

He fought in all the battles of his century, from the Conquest of Tunis (1535), "La Goulette", to the battle of Battle of Lepanto.
